4G World 2010 and 3G Americas to deliver 4G technology roadmap

Premier industry event collaborates with wireless industry association to examine evolutionary paths to 4G

3G Americas, a wireless industry trade association representing the GSM family of technologies including LTE, has announced a two-day special interest session to be produced in collaboration with 4G World™. The special program entitled, “4G Technology Roadmap” will run on October 19 and 20, 2010, at 4G World 2010 Conference and Expo.
“The stage is set and there are clear choices being made by leading wireless operators around the world who are moving toward the 3GPP mobile broadband technologies of HSPA+ and LTE,” explains Chris Pearson, President of 3G Americas. “Together with 4G World our goal is to engage our members and event attendees in meaningful dialogue that will explore the many aspects of 3GPP mobile broadband technology strategies.”
Speakers in the 4G Technology Roadmap include operators and manufacturers who comprise the essential ecosystem of HSPA and LTE, as well as global industry association leaders from 3GPP and NGMN Alliance, industry analysts Michael Thelander, Signals Research and session chair and moderator Caroline Gabriel, Rethink Research.  The sessions are included in the 4G World agenda and are available to participants without additional participation fees.
“With the collaboration of 3G Americas, we are able to provide all of our 4G World event participants with a broad and detailed view of the evolutionary paths to 4G wireless,” said Eliot Weinman, president of Yankee Group’s Events Division and conference founder and chair. “Industry association partners like 3G Americas bring thought leadership, extensive experience and expertise that will be shared throughout the entire wireless ecosystem. Their contribution is invaluable and we thank 3G Americas for their endorsement of the show.”
4G World includes four days of more than 40 business and technology sessions and workshops and more than 175 speakers, who together will deliver case studies, best practices, innovations and deep technical insights. 4G World 2010 will draw over 10,000 global attendees, and will include more than 250 corporate, media and association sponsors and exhibitors.
Andrew Mitchell, content director of 4G World noted, “Beyond the 4G Technology Roadmap program track, 3G Americas leadership and members will be engaged in many strategic aspects of our event, and we are excited to have them on board.”
