Already 300 exhibitor registrations – space allocation will start on 18 January
After having changed its name, the ANGA COM – Exhibition and Congress for Broadband, Cable & Satellite – will also enhance its congress programme: Besides 18 expert panels, for the first time 4 top-class industry summits will take place: The TV Summit, the Broadband Summit, the new Connected Home Summit and the International Technology Summit, the latter of which will be held in English. The ANGA COM will take place from 4 to 6 June 2013 in Cologne.
This year, the line-up of the congress panels is explicitly following our slogan “Where Broadband meets Content“: Network operators, content providers and vendors are equally presented. For the International Technology Summit confirmations of Nick Fielibert (Cisco), Lorenz Glatz (Kabel Deutschland), Bruce McClelland (Arris), Jørgen Michaelsen (YouSee), Hanno Narjus (Teleste) and Dr. Giles Wilson (Ericsson) have been received.
For the three other summit events the following representatives have confirmed their participation: For the network operators: Dr. Adrian v. Hammerstein (Kabel Deutschland), Lutz Schüler (Unitymedia KabelBW), Dirk Brameier (EWE TEL) and Theo Weirich (wilhelm.tel). For the content providers: Prof. Dr. Karola Wille (MDR), Conrad Albert (ProSiebenSat.1), Dr. Andreas Bereczky (ZDF) and Brian Sullivan (Sky Deutschland). For the vendors: Wilhelm Dresselhaus (Alcatel-Lucent), Christian P. Illek (Microsoft), Martin Wiegmann (Cisco), Hannes Schwaderer (INTEL) and Volker Smid (Hewlett Packard). The Federal Network Agency is represented by its vice president Dr. Iris Henseler-Unger.
The third day of the congress will be summarized under the heading “Connected Home Special”. This day is organized in cooperation with the Federal Association for Information Technology, Telecommunications and New Media (BITKOM).
Dr. Peter Charissé, Managing Director, ANGA: “Besides our traditional key topics Next Generation Networks and content delivery, this year Smart TV, Multiscreen and Connected Home are very high on our agenda. These strategic and technologic topics will be completed by two expert panels about broadband and media politics. We bring together network operators, content providers and vendors on a practical B2B platform: focused, controversial, authentic.”
Five months before the event´s start, 300 companies have already booked exhibition space. The space allocation will start on 18 January. Exhibitor registration is available at www.angacom.de.
In 2012 the ANGA COM – still by the name of “ANGA Cable“ – attracted 16,000 business visitors, 50 % of them international. The event is organized by the Association of German Cable Operators (ANGA) and supported by ZVEI (Satellite & Cable).
