Zarafa and Mandriva partner to deliver integrated enterprise solutions

Mandriva, Europe's leading publisher of Linux solutions, announced the availability of the Zarafa Collaboration Platform (ZCP) on the Mandriva Enterprise Server 5 (MES5) platform

Zarafa is the Microsoft Exchange replacement for Linux servers, which allows users to share e-mails, calendars and contacts using Outlook or a web access. The integration includes a specific installation and configuration wizard as well as the possibility to manage Zarafa users in the Mandriva Directory Server (MDS) of MES5.
At the Solutions Linux / Open Source in Paris, Mandriva and Zarafa signed a technological and commercial partnership contract to ensure the best possible support and maintenance for MES5 users deploying ZCP.
Mandriva offers Zarafa dedicated packages including support for Mandriva Enterprise Server 5 (MES 5), a server for midsized enterprise customers. Zarafa also ships the Zarafa web access, a webbased groupware interface with a look-and-feel like MS Outlook, allowing users to become accustomed quickly. Moreover, with the Active Directory plug-in Zarafa can be easily integrated in an existing Windows network.
Mandriva has more than 5 million users in 140 countries, and Zarafa has been delivering groupware solutions to Linux customers worldwide for almost a decade now.

Zarafa is the one of the few software providers that offers ActiveSync compatibility on an open source basis. Via its Z-Push open source project, Zarafa supports most ActiveSync-compatible peripherals. As a result, businesses can synchronize their groupware data with Windows Mobile, Google Android, Nokia mobiles and iPhones. In addition, Zarafa enables integration with the BlackBerry Enterprise Server. Many businesses from a variety of vertical sectors including; public sector, healthcare, manufacturing, retail, logistics and professional services have already switched to Zarafa software.
