CeBIT Executive Communications: New dimensions in networking at top management level
Date: Fri, 11/25/2011 - 15:52
Unique platform for German and foreign CIOs
At the next CeBIT an extended concept for Executive Communications will open up new dimensions and possibilities in the networking of top-level managers. The new platform bundles diverse service offerings for CIOs and ICT decision-makers at what is recognized as the world's most important event for the digital economy. In cooperation with the networking specialist FINAKI and the IT magazine CIO, Deutsche Messe have developed a unique concept that will bring users and suppliers of digital technology closer together at CeBIT in March 2012.
"CeBIT Executive Communications will offer an exclusive arena for national and international IT executives, bringing them together to promote the digital industry", says CeBIT boss Frank Pörschmann. "We are providing CIOs and decision-makers in ICT with a unique, purpose-designed platform and at the same time helping the companies exhibiting at CeBIT by matching them with buyers of their technology", explains Pörschmann.
CeBIT is ideal for this purpose. For example, the 500 CIOs of international companies that took part in CeBIT 2011 (including more than 80 ICT decision-makers from DAX/MDAX companies) represent a total buying volume in excess of €50 billion.
Gabriele Rittinghaus, managing director of FINAKI, believes that the cooperation between her CIO network, CeBIT and the CIO magazine at CeBIT Executive Communications will afford the perfect opportunity to bring CIOs and ICT decision-makers together for a top-level exchange of views and know-how. In particular, she emphasizes that the event is "an ideal forum for networking and for strategically moderated discussions on the key issues on the CIO agenda".
Michael Beilfuß, publishing manager at IDG Business Media, adds: "CeBIT Executive Communications is one of the best and most important innovations of CeBIT. Its brings together three components to create a unique and comprehensive offer which, augmented by the new CeBIT Executive Communications App, enhances the proven and successful set-up. It is geared to technology specialists and decision-makers who value CeBIT as a source of key information and who also enjoy the great hospitality environment."
CeBIT Executive Communications is the umbrella for three elements - the Executive Dialogue held during the afternoon before the opening of CeBIT, the House of CIOs (which serves as a contact centre and forum for know-how transfer) and the Executive
Club, which is housed in the elegant setting of the Meeting Lounge. There are also plans to further enhance this offering with a new portal which, for the first time, will combine all the online activities of CeBIT Executive Communications, as well as an App, which features all these elements on a mobile information platform.
The CeBIT Executive Dialogue takes place on Monday afternoon (5 March) before the official opening of CeBIT and flows directly into the opening ceremony at the Hannover Congress Centrum. Two keynote speeches and a panel discussion involving high-calibre speakers from the ICT sector will address future-oriented market issues. The Executive Dialogue is also another top opportunity for networking, for informal one-to-one meetings and for an exchange of views at a personal level.
The House of CIOs in Hall 4 at the Hannover Exhibition Grounds is the scene of daily workshops and round-table discussions involving ICT users and suppliers. The focus will be on talks and presentations, as well as the coordination of participation in events and lectures.
The CeBIT Executive Club, located in the House of Nations, is an exclusive Business Lounge offering different areas for work, meetings and relaxation. As from the first day of the trade show (Tuesday, 6 March) through to Friday, 9 March, it will be open to an exclusive circle of CIOs from user companies, official representatives of national and regional governments and the head buyers of DAX companies as well as ICT experts and buyers from SMEs.
Participation at CeBIT Executive Communications is by invitation only.
