Date: Mon, 11/23/2009 - 20:02
Deutsche Messe AG has embarked on the next stage of its strategy of international expansion and recently established a subsidiary in Japan. "This move marks an extension of our activities in one of the world's most important markets and is an important step towards further developing our international network," explained Dr. Andreas Gruchow, member of the Board at Deutsche Messe AG in Hannover.
The prime concern of the Japanese subsidiary will be, in the first instance, to strengthen efforts to attract exhibitors and trade visitors to leading international trade fairs, such as CeBIT und HANNOVER MESSE, at the Hannover Exhibition Grounds in Germany. Many of the world's market leaders have main offices in Japan. By establishing a subsidiary in Japan the trade fair organizers will now be in a better position to reach these global players. But the new company, known as Deutsche Messe Japan K.K., will also fulfil the forward-looking purpose of promoting overseas trade fair activities and developing a new important base for the company's trade fair business in Asia. The CEO of the Japanese subsidiary is Kenichi Mori, who previously held a leading position within Japanese heavy industry.
