IIR Telecoms and the TETRA & Critical Communications Association are delighted to welcome the international Critical Communications community to Dubai for the TETRA World Congress
The event opened at the Dubai World Trade Centre, with the exhibition inaugurated by Crown Prince His Highness Al Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum. Nedaa, the UAE TETRA Network Operator is supporting the Congress as the event’s Host Operator Partner.
The TETRA World Congress (TWC) is the official event of the TETRA & Critical Communications Association. This year, we expect the highest ever attendance, with 2800 attendees pre-registered. The delegation includes senior representatives from government agencies, public safety and defence organisations, as well as network operators, commercial TETRA users, hardware vendors and application developers.
Hanna Jackson, Director of the TETRA World Congress, said: “We are delighted to bring the TETRA World Congress to the Middle East for the first time in its 14 year history. We are honoured to be working in partnership with Nedaa and we recognise that by holding the event in Dubai, we have attracted delegates not only from the region but from the international TETRA community. The delegation includes representatives from 84 countries. This year’s event will focus on ‘Delivering Critical Communications Today And Tomorrow’, which is Nedaa’s key aim across the UAE. We will welcome, in particular all of the Nedaa network users and the delegation from the UAE at the show.”
Phil Kidner, CEO of the TETRA and Critical Communications Association stated “We are all delighted that TWC is in the Middle East for the first time this year. This is a very important region for TETRA with many existing TETRA networks already in place and considerable interest from others looking to modernise their communications. But this is a global event and I am sure that by working together with key partners, Nedaa and IIR, we have achieved our goal to attract many delegates from all over the world to this interesting and vibrant city.”
